Description
Wrapped 540 is a spin off the kicker. What counts is the timing of the pop and the handle pass: the cable pulls you, so the spin starts with the shoulders at the top of the jump, not at take-off. A 540 with the handle already passed behind the back.
How it's done
- 01
Progressive approach, building edge all the way to the kicker.
- 02
Pop straight up and only then, at the top, start the rotation with your head and shoulders.
- 03
Pass the handle behind your back, keeping it low and close.
- 04
Find the cable with your eyes as you finish the rotation.
- 05
Land with the board slightly on edge, in the direction of the cable.
Common mistakes
- Starting the rotation off the ramp: the jump gets lower.
- Handle pass too high.
- Landing flat against the cable: it yanks you.
