Description

KGB is a mobe: an invert combined with a rotation and a handle pass. The order of the movements is everything: the invert first, then the spin, never both at once. Only worth trying once the invert and the spin are both automatic. A toeside backroll with a blind 360.

How it's done

  1. 01

Same approach as the basic invert: same speed, same edge.

  2. 02

Complete the first three quarters of the invert without thinking about the spin.

  3. 03

Only at the top, pass the handle and let your shoulders start the rotation.

  4. 04

Find the carrier with your eyes and open your body to stop the spin.

  5. 05

Land and pull the handle to your hip to pick the cable back up.

Common mistakes

  • Starting the spin off the ramp: the invert is lost.
  • Late handle pass: a blind, off-axis landing.
  • Not trusting the cable through the last 90 degrees.

The ways

Regular and goofy are approved apart, each worth the points of its own difficulty.
