Description
Ollie on box to ollie on pipe is an obstacle trick. The park's rails reward whoever arrives flat and centred: no edge on the way in, weight over the board, eyes on the end of the rail. The speed is yours to choose with the line you take in. An ollie onto the box, then straight onto the pipe.
How it's done
- 01
Line up with the rail ten metres out and take all the edge off: board completely flat.
- 02
Get on with a small ollie or straight off the ramp, knees bent.
- 03
On the obstacle the weight stays central and the eyes stay on the end of the rail, never on your feet.
- 04
If the trick has a rotation in it, start the shoulders only in the last two metres.
- 05
Come off with soft knees, board flat, and pick the cable back up.
Common mistakes
- Arriving on edge: the board catches and you slide off.
- Looking at your feet: the body follows the eyes and you fall sideways.
- Correcting with your arms on the rail: you correct with your hips.
The ways
This trick is landed 4 ways: each is worth the points of its own difficulty and is approved on its own.
