Description
Start front flip is a start trick: done off the pontoon, at the moment the cable takes you away. The carrier sets the timing: the trick goes when the rope is tight, not before. From the dock, off a nollie, a forward flip: the tail goes over your head before you touch the water.
How it's done
- 01
Take the start position on the pontoon, handle in hand, knees soft.
- 02
Wait for the rope to tighten: the carrier arrives and the tension builds.
- 03
The moment you feel the pull, leave the pontoon and do the trick, handle close to your hip.
- 04
Spot where you land and keep your weight slightly back.
- 05
Land on bent knees and let the cable carry you on.
Common mistakes
- Going before the rope is tight: you land standing still and sink.
- Letting the handle drift away from your body during the rotation.
- Landing with your weight forward: the nose digs in.
The ways
Regular and goofy are approved apart, each worth the points of its own difficulty.
